What you should know before visit Yeh Panes Hot Spring!!

General information 
  • We are Open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm
  • Address : The Yeh Hot spring is place of quiet relaxation 
  • The Hot Spring is non smoking relaxation 
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the public bathing area 
  • All the massage, body treatments and private baths are reserved for guest 16 years and over unless accompanied by legal guardian.
  • The hot spring is mobile phone free zone, no Wifi in the rooms.
  • Booking are essential for all private spa treatments and private bathing.
  • Refreshment, light food and alcohol are available in the cafe area.
  • Avoid eating a heavy meal prior to bathing and spa treatment 
  • Please leave jewellery and other items of value at home.
  • Sulphur in the mineral water may tarnish them.
  • Lockers are free of charge, and will be provided if available. We do, however, reserve lockers for private clients. Note that  weekends and other peak times lockers are always in short supply.
When you arrive

  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your booking start time. If you arrive late, your private bathing and treatment time may have to be reduced.
  • If your booking confirmation is for a treatment only, we highly recommend you also allow 30-45 minutes for hot mineral springs bathing as this greatly enhances the treatment – public and private 
  • Bathing prices are listed on our website and Spa Menu.
What to wear if you have booked a treatment/package

  • We do recommend you wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes to the springs. Visitors enjoying spa treatments are provided with a robe and towel. During your treatment undergarments are optional. Disposable briefs will be provided at your request. Maintaining your sense of dignity and wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us. All of our therapists are trained to drape professionally to ensure your comfort and privacy at all times.
What to wear while bathing

For public bathing a swimsuit is required. You should also bring a comfortable pair of thongs or slippers for the change rooms and around the springs. 

Private Pool and Bath 

  • Enjoy a private mineral spring bath indoors or out.
  • The natural waters provide an infusion of healthy minerals and the natural warmth eases you into a state of blissful relaxation. 






Inside Activities of Yeh Panes Hot Spring Resort

The pools are of different sizes, some accommodating four people, others eight. Each spa is surrounded by a bamboo fence and has jets and blowers; for "room service" you hit a kulkul. 

Amongst the natural pools you can choose to experience the open cold and hot pools as well as the private pools for those preferring some solitude while immersing in this healing waters. 

The naturally hot water from the springs—probably Bali's hottest—contains sulphur, potassium, sodium, and small percentages of minerals, with no additives except an occasional dose of chlorine. The water, it is said, will relieve itching and heal skin diseases.

History of Yeh Panes Penatahan Tabanan Bali Indonesia

The holy spring of Yeh Panes Penatahan, about 12 km north of Tabanan. Japanese soldiers stationed in Tabanan used to visit this spring during the war to refresh themselves in its hot, pungent, sulphurous mineral waters. They widened the track to the spring, and built small bathing sheds. In the 1960s luxury tourist villas were constructed at the best vantage points around the spring. 

Today, the delightful and relaxing Yeh Panes Natural Hotspring  on the sylvan winding road (Jl. Batukaru) to Gunung Batukaru is Bali's only hot springs specifically designed as a hot springs resort. 

According to the history, there was a Kingdom named "Penulisan" with the King named Jaya Wikrama who was suffering from a serious skin disease.Upon the suggestion of the minister Satya Wacana the King was then taken to a traditional healer named Ki Dukuh Tangkas at a village of Lampah at the northern part of Rajeg Urn forest (now known as "Jegu" village) by Ho river. On the way to Lampah Village/ the King was tempted by a monkey at pajeg Uru forest later known as beloved pet of the traditional healer, Ki Dukuh Tangkas. When Ki Dukuh Tangkas knew the purpose of the King’s visit, he then taught the King a healing teaching called : "Usadha Bhakti" through a meditation system. One day, when the King and Ki Dukuh Tangkas practised the teaching by doing meditation, by God’s Blessing a hot spring outpoured from the ground.

Ki Dukuh asked the King to take bath every "Kajeng. Kliwon" (a Balinese point of time) until the King completely recovered. To express his gratefulness, the King then built a temple on that location called : "We Brahma" or "Toya Anget" Temple. On the former place of Ki Dukuh Tangkas then built a monument later became a holy place called "Lampah" temple located on the eastern part of the hot spring.Later on the King and Ki Dukuh’s followers spread out to seek place for residence, some were back to Penulisan, some other went to the North-west later known as "Bangkiang Sidem" means "the King has been recovered" and the village next to it called "Penatahan" means "the successful journey of the King.
